Umar Sani Bako, a Biomedical Engineer from Works and Maintenance Department, Federal Medical Centre Katsina emerges one of the best five innovators selected by the National Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in collaboration with Nigeria Institute of Technology Development Agency, NITDA to commemorate the year 2022 World Innovation Day. 

The five awardees including Umar Sani, were applauded with cash prizes  for their intelligence by the DG NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi alongside the Honorable Minister of Communications and Digital Technology Economy, Prof. Isa Aliyu Pantami on Thursday 21 April,2022 In Abuja.

The Board and Management of the Centre expressed their congratulatory messages to the staff for the laudable project named Xcmed, which help blind people move easily without any human dependence.
